Hyundai Recalls 239,000 Vehicles

The latest Hyundai recall includes 2019-2022 Accents, 2021-2023 Elantras and 2021-2022 Elantra HEVs, or hybrid electric vehicles. The seat belt pretensioners in these vehicles can explode on deployment,, causing bodily harm to drivers and passengers. The pretensioner is the part that tightens up the seat belt in the event of a potential crash or impact. This is the 3rd recall for seat belt related problems in these Hyundai vehicles. Once the recall is received, the affected vehicles can go back to the dealer for repair.s
